Description
On this guided nature walk, you’ll experience Coachella Valley's "Garden of Eden" - a sanctuary of elegant California Fan Palms that create a beautiful palm oasis in the desert.
Visit the Palm House and hear how a famous trade for two mules and a buckboard in exchange for 80 acres started the preserve. The oasis and ponds are right on the Mission Creek Branch of the San Andreas Fault; which has created a rich habitat for many desert animals and other wildlife.
You’ll also learn about the Indians who made this location their home.
